Cloudy with a chance of Microsoft for TSB’s digital banking
TSB has selected Microsoft 365 Enterprise and Dynamics 365 cloud solution as part of its digital banking revamp for its eight corporate centres and 550 branches.
Microsoft 365 integrates Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security into a solution to help the bank’s 8,500 employees. Dynamics 365 delivers a cloud-based suite of applications for sales automation, operations, field and customer service, all backed by analytics and machine learning. The solutions will be rolled out later this year to TSB’s employees.
Carlos Abarca, CIO at TSB, says: “Encouraging our partners [i.e. employees] to work collaboratively is the key to our success, and we believe Microsoft 365 Enterprise is the perfect solution to deliver a world class digital experience to them.”
TSB’s parent company, Sabadell, through its UK IT service subsidiary, Sabis UK, selected the solutions as “an important step in the bank’s digital journey”. TSB says its employees will get “always-on access to the content and tools they need, on any device, wherever they choose to work”.
TSB has engaged Microsoft partner Addin365 to support the roll-out of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and the chat-based workspace Microsoft Teams.
In addition, Microsoft Services, which offers planning and deployment, will support TSB through the deployment, such as upholding its regulatory requirements.
Banco Sabadell is Spain’s fourth largest banking group and has assets of €212 billion, 2,700 branches, and 11.8 million customers. It acquired TSB in 2015.
