Barclays online and mobile banking down again
Barclays Bank has been hit yet again by online and mobile banking glitches.
Today (3 July), the bank reported the problem on Twitter saying it’s “aware of an issue with our online banking”.
Hi Mark, we’re aware of an issue with our online banking and we’re working as fast as we can to put a fix in place. 1/2

In the tantrum-prone world of Twitter, users also spoke of problems with the app. One example is enough to preserve your sanity:

Some Twitter users had had enough of technology and wanted the human touch:
Not at all happy with @barclays in regards to mortgage application.
Need number to speak with a human being that can do something

Updates as and when they happen.
It’s got previous
Back in February, Barclays had technical issues with cash machines, debit cards and phone banking. At that time, it advised customers to use other banks’ cash machines. The customers would probably have worked that out for themselves.
In 2016 Barclays’ business banking service, Barclays.net, decided it would also take time off during the three-day Bank Holiday weekend in the UK. The system suffered intermittent outages from 29 April until 3 May, and there were numerous complaints on Twitter from angry users.
