Deutsche Bank appoints Boeing’s Kim Hammonds as CIO
Deutsche Bank has chosen Kim Hammonds as chief information officer and global co-head of group technology and operations. Hammonds joins on 25 November from Boeing, where she was chief information officer.
Based in London, Hammonds will report to chief operating officer Henry Ritchotte and work alongside Jim Turley, who remains global co-head of GTO.
Anthony McCarthy, who currently holds these roles, has decided to leave Deutsche Bank to pursue other career opportunities but has agreed to be available for a transitional period to advise the Bank. He will step down on 15 November.
Hammonds joined Boeing in 2008 when she was named vice president of the Boeing IT Business Systems organization. In this role, she managed application, development and maintenance activities in support of Finance, HR, Internal Services, Sales/Marketing and Boeing Capital Corporation. Hammonds most recently was the vice president of Boeing IT Infrastructure, where she was responsible for developing and maintaining solutions inclusive of network, computing, server, storage, collaboration and infrastructure technologies across the enterprise.
Prior to joining Boeing, Hammonds was director of Americas manufacturing operations at Dell, where she was responsible for global systems development for service logistics, supply chain and quality systems. She was also responsible for IT production support for all 18 global manufacturing operations.
Before joining Dell in 2007, Hammonds was with the Ford Motor Company for 16 years, where she held positions in product engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing and information technology leadership roles. Her last position at Ford was as director of manufacturing systems for North America, supporting 48 plants, manufacturing engineering, supply chain and production systems.
She also has an MBA from Western Michigan University and a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.
